This presentation will focus on process of the Bologna reform in the Ukrainian higher education system. This is taken as a case of post-Soviet Europeanisation.

The Bologna Process is the largest European project for cooperation in higher education. It aims to create an internationally competitive European Higher Education Area (EHEA) through a range of objectives.

Through focusing on the development of higher education actors and instruments in the Bologna context in Ukraine, the research presented aims to analyse the process of the Bologna reform in Ukraine and inform our understanding about the Europeanisation process in the post-Soviet context.

Nataliya Muzyka is Co-Convenor of the Edinburgh Europa Research Group and PhD Candidate in Politics at the University of Edinburgh. Her research compares the influence of the European Union on democratisation processes in Poland and Ukraine.
