Will Phelan (Trinity College Dublin) will speak to the Europa Research Group and the Europa Institute about his recent book on EU as a trade regime. He will explore how the EU’s legal system, and in particular through the European Court of Justice, has evolved without the use of trade sanctions and remedies between the Member States – tools which are central components of other international trade systems, such as the WTO.
