With the financial crisis and the first Greek bailout ever more distant memories, where is the Eurozone today? Join the Edinburgh Europa Research Group for a discussion on the current state of affairs of the Eurocrisis.

We’ll hear political and economic perspectives from our panel of speakers on the challenges facing the single currency going forward, including reaction to the aftermath of the Greek parliamentary election on January 25th.

Prof Drew Scott is a distinguished economist and specialist in European economic integration. He serves as Co-Director of the Edinburgh Europa Institute and the University of Edinburgh’s Dean International (Europe). Prof Scott is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.

Dr Myrto Tsakatika is an experienced political scientist and expert in European Union politics. Her work has focused on EU public policy, the ‘democratic deficit’ and the rise of Euroscepticism. Most recently she has conducted research on radical left parties and politics in Southern Europe.
